Terms of Service

1. Acceptance
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Signup Sheets for Gmail (the "service"), operated by Very Big Machine (verybigmachine.com). By using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
2. The service
Signup Sheets for Gmail is a Google Workspace add-on and web app that lets you create signup sheets from Gmail, collect participant signups, and manage rosters, confirmations, and reminders. As an organizer, you are responsible for the content of the sheets you create and for having permission to contact the participants you add or email.
3. Accounts
You sign in with your Google account. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity that happens under it. Please let us know promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the service to:
- send spam or unsolicited messages;
- do anything illegal, harmful, deceptive, or infringing on others' rights;
- scrape, overload, or otherwise abuse the service or attempt to disrupt it; or
- collect data you are not authorized to collect.
5. Plans and billing
The service offers a Free tier with no card required. Paid plans are billed annually through Stripe:
- Pro — $48/year.
- School & Team — $99/year.
Paid plans auto-renew each year. You can cancel anytime and keep access until the end of the paid period. We don't provide refunds for partial periods except where required by law. Prices may change, and we'll give you notice before any change affects you.
6. Participant data
As an organizer, you are the controller of your participants' data. You are responsible for using it lawfully and for complying with all applicable data protection and privacy laws. Our handling of data is described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Intellectual property
We own the service, including its software, design, and branding. You own the content you create — your sheets and the data you collect. You grant us the limited rights needed to host and operate the service on your behalf.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Very Big Machine will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the service.
10. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or use the service in a way that could harm others or us.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Very Big Machine operates, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
